Saying before
and after a meal
In Japan, we put our hands together and say "itadakimasu" before a meal and "gochisousama" after a meal.
In "Gassyo"( joining hands in prayer), right hand stands for God's hand and left hand stands for my own hand.
Putting right and left hands together indicates a union with the God within us.
It also means harmonious mind with people and the environment.
" itadakimasu" and "Gochisousama" clearly reflects Japanese mindset and food culture.

We can learn and experience Japanese spirits while enjoying sushi!
